Fast forward to my birthday again, and with the arrival of the money, I paid for the cabinet and made the arrangements. On Friday, the federal tax refund came in. The big nut. Aside from planning out what was wanted/needed and ordering stuff, I spent the remainder of the week and the weekend utterly paralyzed with anticipation and anxiety.
But for now, that was alleviated a bit by the prospect of pizza. Seriously, pizza costs too damn much for me to justify most of the time… But it’s SO GOOD, especially the stuff from Ramunto’s. We (And by ‘we’, I mean me, my dad, my sister, and even my mom who came by) ordered 4 large pizzas. There was a goddamn lot of pizza. (And since I’ve actually had someone comment on that picture, yes, we DO eat the crusts, but my dad hadn’t come back from the store with dip yet.) The delivery kid was so floored by his tip, I wondered how cheap people around here are… (It was cool as hell that each pair of pizzas came with a shrinkwrapped bundle of paper plates, napkins, and little pouches of crushed red pepper. God I love that pizzeria.)
Anyway, the pizza lasted well through Friday, even with people constantly ninja’ing slices left and right…
My anxiety returned however, when I checked eBay and was faced with— having effectively acquired the Ark —my NEO-GEO holy grail…
Next: Part 4, In which Baka quests for the holy grail.
