Making Mithril

I got this far... No point turning back now.

So...what to do... My source images are crap. From the flag image, and double-checking with google searches and wikipedia, I determined that the second and third inscriptions were 'Partholon' and 'Nemhedh'... Just by looking at those wiki articles, I came to the determination that the fourth inscription read 'Tuatha De Danaan'. What about the first?

Google searches upon google searches. Trying to cross-reference the others with what I can make out of the missing one from the flag pics... Badbh? Hmm... It fits the Celtic angle...but what would the first part of it be?

Tir? Tyr? That fits the context of the runic origins of the Mithril squad names... (There's a reason people might think I'm obsessed.) But I can't find any mention of the two names TOGETHER.

This was starting to get tough...

I enhanced the clarity of the flag pictures with the Smart Sharpen filter... The last letter is definitely a 'g', not an 'h'... It looks like 'bhelg'... No good... Germanic etymology? Hmm... That fits with some of the other stuff... Maybe this is it... Damn. No dice on the cross-reference.

Sometimes you just have to give up.

To Be Continued...?
