Okay, DVDs tomorrow, God bless UPS. Now I can clear off the hard drive. See kids? This is why investing in the site in this early stage is so important. If I could afford a 300gb hard drive, it'd be all good. :P

As is typical of my ADD-riddled brain, when I absolutely NEED to do something, my brain shuts down, but will work a mile-a-minute on something completely different... So, at the moment, I'm making shit-all progress on the site, but making a lot of progress on the writing for Gaijin Samurai... Sorry.

More later.

I had the pleasure of hearing Blue-kun's awesome piano performances again last night, thanks to Kimmie's prompting. He played one of my all-time favorite anime themes, 'Sora' from Escaflowne. He then followed it up with the most enchanting 'Kaze to Tori to Sora' an insert song from the end of the Record of Lodoss Wars OVA... A song I've always loved, but often forget about because it's only in the show for like a minute or two. (I did however recognize it RIGHT away) It was an incredible performance. After Blue shutdown his stream, I immediately went out and found the full version of the song (After watching the segment from my RoLW DVDs a couple times) and I have it and his performance looping in my playlist. Yes, I recorded it. Hope that's cool, Blue. It was an incredible performance.

Don't bother asking, I won't distribute my recording unless Blue-kun says it's okay.

No, I'm not dead. (Through no fault of my own.) I know I've been slacking with the site, but I've had a lot going on. (Not as much as some people we know however...)

I just played through the first 6 missions of Mobile Suit Gundam: One Year War It kicks ass...if you're a OYW or Uchuu Senki fan. Otherwise, you probably won't like it. It is HARDCORE reenactment stuff. If you've ever wanted to man one of White Base's defense turrets and blow up a bunch of Zeon shit, because some idiot rendered the Gundam inoperable...this is the game for you. If you're a SEED fan, not only is this game not for you, but you should probably kill yourself right now. The graphics are top-notch, the sound is perfect, it feels like you're playing through the original Mobile Suit Gundam. It's just perfect, once again, if you're a hardcore original series/Universal Century fan.

Nothing beats watching Bright give the order to light Garma's Gaw teh fsck up, and seeing it get holed by every damn gun available, then plummetting to the ground. ;)

Oh glorious giver of life! Thy name is Green Peppers!

Here in Middlebury Vermont, (Look at a map, Umbra. That's NEW ENGLAND, not the midwest. Dumbfuck. For everyone else, that's VERMONT, not VIRGINIA.) there's a place called 'Green Peppers'. (Vstylex, that's right across the parking lot from Shaw's. It's only 'star market' in New Hampshire. Dipshit. And no, I've never had a job bagging groceries.) They make a most awesome grinder. (For those who don't wakaru the New England-ben, that's a sub or 'big goddamn sandwich')

I always snag a couple for special occasions or on payday, or just as often as I have an opportunity, and it's economically feasible.

It's a massive amount of roast beef, some swiss cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, hot peppers, and oil+vinegar. And if you didn't think that already sounded great (There's something wrong with you), then they TOAST IT.

I always slather on the mayo, and salt and pepper it when I get home. Then I plate it up with a shitton of french fries hot from the oven. And to top it all off, a couple cans of Pepsi that've been in the freezer for a little over an hour. That's how long it takes for ice crystals to start to form in it, YMMV. (Nothing's more refreshing than your favorite soda, full of tiny ice crystals that melt upon contact with your mouth.) Nothing beats that. The best sandwich ever devised by man, a shitton of french fries, and a literally ice cold drink. Perfect for watching whatever you damn well please on your 10-foot TV.

It's the thought of these 'Giant Sammiches of Doom' that get me through the lean times with my sanity.

Oh btw, I just checked my email, and word from Play-Asia is that the PSP Value Pack just dropped price $30, now it's only $20 more than the bare unit.

And if anyone is wondering wtf this post means, it means that I got paid, which means I can eat, which means I have the strength to get back to work. HUZZAH!

A song for all that is broken and useless.

Wanting to spit out the jarred thoughts
Because there's no other proof of my existence
My future that I should've grabbed hold of is
Conflicting between "dignity" and "freedom"

Wanting to erase the distorted afterimage
Because I see my limit over there
In the window of the excessively self-conscious me
There are no dates in last year's calendar

No, I'm not okay, but I'll manage. Always do.

The PSP is calling to me....

You know, I wouldn't be sitting here wondering how little food I can survive on if it weren't for that damned 10-foot television :P

I blame myself. No... On second thought, I blame the 10-foot TV...

On another note, the first reviews will be up tomorrow. I think I've almost got the hang of the content system in my CMS.

So far we have 2 subscribers. Another 8 or so, and there'll be enough money for the first giveaway.

Preliminary conceptual and writing work on Kasei no Suna and Gaijin Samurai are moving along nicely. Who knows? maybe I'll have some sort of trailer ready by the time AX05 rolls around...but don't bet on it.

Okay, important stuff before I fall down. I made a page detailing information about the main GPMoD site, it isn't finished yet, but all that's missing is the paypal buy button. (I'm so tired I can't think straight, so it'll have to wait until tomorrow...) Arrgh! See what I mean about not thinking straight? I got the url wrong! Fixed it.

Here it is.

I'm cracking the fuck up.

Well, LLTA stopped in yesterday... We kept missing eachother by about a half hour... Finally, he asked me to send him something... Which I tried to do 20 minutes later...but my DCC didn't work... So I went and uploaded it to the site...and continued talking to him for like 20 minutes... The problem? There's a good reason the DCC didn't work... HE WASN'T THERE! He had logged off a few minutes after asking me... And I didn't notice. This is symptomatic of a larger, more serious, 'brain problem'... -_-

Armored Core Formula Front

04/01/05 @ 08:51:11 am, Categories: Uncategorized, 367 words, 571 views

I've been having some pretty vigorous hands-on experience with the PS2 version (No jokes about my 1-handed controller, you fucks.), and this is one of the best Armored Core games ever. I've always loved the AC series, but could never really get into it because the controls sucked. (Well, it's not so much that they suck as...I'm much more comfortable controlling a bipedal robot with a 3-foot-wide control console than a PS2 gamepad.) I got far more enjoyment from building the AC. That's where Formula Front comes in. Your main focus in FF is the construction of the Armored Core, and the fine tuning of its AI pilot. There is, to be sure, a certain amount of pride involved in creating an AI/AC combo that, when tested, completely obliterates the competition. "Holy shit! I programmed THAT?! *pause* I programmed THAT!!" Putting together an AI that can win in a terribly outmatched AC is very satisfying. I like small, fast, ACs...your opponents are never happy when their TANK is wiped out by something they never even HIT. :)

ACFF for the PSP can share info with the PS2 version, and can be used to play online against people all over the world. (Also, the PSP version makes it easy to get your custom emblems into the game, as they're stored on the memory stick as a .png file...then you can upload it from your PSP to PS2)

The PS2 version does NOT have online play. (Confirmed) I guess that sorta makes sense, the PS2 version is sort of your training facility, where you play the single player stuff, and tune your ACs and AIs for real competition. And the PSP version is where you go out and actually COMPETE. (Though, the PS2 version CAN load teams from other PS2 and PSP saves, for direct competition.)

Makes me want to get a PSP :x

The Armored Cores look so purdy, human-sized on my wall... 88|

I really really really do love wiping people out with fast light ACs... I was up against a pretty devastating tank...but it didn't even have a chance... All it ever saw was a red blur with tracers streaming out of it. :>
